I recently got the pleasure of doing some product shots for Kaffeologie, a local company that manufactures reusable, steel coffee filters. Although product photography is, admittedly, not my forte, this shoot turned out to be a lot of fun. A lot of people in Seattle claim to be coffee connoisseurs, but few have the knowledge to back it up. The folks at Kaffeologie are absolutely obsessed about the perfect cup and are constantly striving to attain it.

This was seriously some of the strongest, smoothest coffee I’ve had.

Last week, I made the drive to meet with Kindra and Curtis in the Port Ludlow/Port Townsend area. Curt is a firefighter so we were fortunate enough to have the fire station all to ourselves for some of these portraits. We then took a walk at Fort Warden Park right before the sun started setting, ignoring all plans to hang out at the bunkers because the rest of the landscape was so stunning. All in all, a pretty great way to spend a Friday night. Looking forward to being back for the wedding in August!

The Seattle sky lit up with fireworks on 4th of July. An amazing day surrounded by amazing people.

On July 3rd, 2012, Alene and Ray welcomed Azelee and Donnell into this world at Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Tacoma. Having shot their wedding the year before, I was delighted when they asked me to be at there. Alene was scheduled for a Cesarean and by noon, I was introduced to the newborns. The emotion in that room was stunning — it was one of those reaffirming days where I couldn’t imagine doing anything else for a living.
